Appointments

A standard appointment is 15 minutes. If you have a number of concerns to discuss, please ask for a longer consultation. You can book by phoning our friendly reception team on 07 3264 2622 or online via HotDoc. Every effort is made to keep to appointment times, but this may be difficult due to emergencies or unexpected longer consultations. Walk-in patients will be triaged before being offered an appointment, if available. A fee may be charged for non-attendance of an appointment. This fee is charged at your doctor's discretion and may be up to the full consultation fee.

Parking & Clinic Access

Albany Clinic has a dedicated parking facility adjacent to the building. Additional parking is available in the Albany Creek Village shopping complex carpark. We have ramps installed for wheelchair access. If you have any other special needs please don’t hesitate to speak with one of our friendly staff.

Communication

Our staff endeavour to reply to all phone messages and emails as soon as possible. Please allow up to 48 hours if your enquiry needs a reply from a doctor. We may request you book a consultation with your GP if your enquiry is comprehensive. If your enquiry is urgent, please let reception know.

Patient Privacy & Confidentiality

It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. All staff at Albany Clinic respect the privacy and confidentiality of your health information as described in our Privacy Policy. You can view our Privacy Policy here

 Test Results & Health Reminders

Our practice is committed to preventive health care and follows best practice guidelines. We may call or send you a SMS to book a follow-up appointment to discuss results or specialist letters with your doctor, or as a routine reminder for preventative health services. These are sent via our online booking platform, HotDoc. Follow the link in the SMS to book your appointment, or phone our friendly reception team if you are unsure.

Script & Referral Requests

Appointments are required for all script and referral requests.  We do, however, understand that on occasions you may not be able to obtain an appointment within a few days, so you may request a repeat script or referral from your regular doctor without an appointment. If this request is made, we do require minimum 48 hours notice and it will be at your doctors discretion as to whether they are able to provide this. There is a fee of $25 for scripts and $30 for referral requests. This fee does not attract a Medicare rebate and must be paid on the day.

After Hours

Albany Clinic & Skin Screen is open Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm and Saturday morning 8.30am – 11am.  If you are experiencing an emergency, you must Dial 000 immediately for an ambulance. For any other out of surgery hours needs, you can contact National Home Doctor Service on 13 74 25. For any urgent concerns we recommend that you proceed to the Prince Charles Hospital Emergency Department (Public) or Brisbane Northside Emergency (Private). Both these facilities are located on Rode Road, Chermside.

Home Visits

Home visits for patients of this practice are triaged and may be provided by your regular GP at their discretion.
