All the staff at Albany Clinic are continuing to provide you with access to your Doctor during this unusual times. Be assured that during this time we are talking all precautions for the health and safety of not only our Team but also that of all our patients.
As you are aware by now it is being recommended that you stay at home. This is for the health of not only ourselves but all those around us. It has been announced that for a short time Medicare has decided to include Telehealth/Phone consultation into General Practice. By providing this it allows you as the patient to stay self isolated and speak with your Doctor via a call. We understand that this may not always be suitable and that you may still require a visit with your Doctor at the Clinic. In order to determine what will be the best situation we are asking that when you phone for an appointment that you are able to provide as much information as possible. If the reason for your visit is deemed okay for a call then we will secure a time for the Doctor to call you at home or otherwise we may arrange a special appointment where you will still need to attend the Clinic and see the Doctor or Nurse. We will be keeping the number of patients to a minimum at any one time to ensure that there is acceptable provision of social spacing between any patients present at that time. If you are needing to attend an appointment to see the Doctor but are exhibiting any cold/flu symptoms you will be asked to call the clinic when you arrive and you will be asked to stay in your car until the Doctor is ready to see you.
It is extraordinary times so we are needing to take extraordinary measures. We do appreciate your patience during this time.
Remember !!!!!!!! It is still vital to maintain regular checks up where required. If you require regular appointments for any injections or wound dressings then please be assured this will happen in the safest way possible to you.
