If you are booking online an unable to locate an appointment that you feel is urgent please call the clinic and speak to Reception. We do keep some appointments available for urgent on the day needs.
Please also remember if you are requiring any sort of Medical to be performed this must be mentioned when booking your appointment to ensure you are allocated enough time to see both the Dr and also the nurse if required.
For any Childhood Immunisations we do require you to call the surgery so as the appointments that are required are correctly booked in with both Dr and Nurse. You will need to allow up to 45 minutes for this appointments to be completed.
We strive to run on time and keep you informed if the Dr may be running late. However the nature of General Practice is unpredictable and there are times that even by our best attempts we are running late. You are more than welcome at any time to call before you appointment and speak with reception and check on how we are running for time.

We offer a reminder service to all our patients who may be due for Immunisation, Cervical Screening, Annual Health Checks, Injections and many more.
If you DO NOT wish to be on the reminder system it is important that you mention this to your Treating Dr and also the Practice Nurse.
Reminders are sent out via an SMS service. If you do not wish to receive these via SMS it is vital you mention this to reception at your next appointment and all actions will be taken to ensure this does not occur.
We do encourage that you always follow up with your GP for all results that you may be expecting. Please note that Reception WILL NOT be able to provide any results to you over the phone. If a follow up appointment is required you will be advised of this at the time of the call and an appointment will be arranged at a suitable time for you to attend.
After Hours
Albany Clinic is open Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm and Saturday morning 8.30am – 11am. If you are experiencing an emergency then you must Dial 000 immediately for an Ambulance. For any other out of surgery hours needs then you can contact National Home Doctor Service on 13 74 25. For any Urgent concerns we recommend that you proceed to Prince Charles Hospital Emergency Department (Public) or Brisbane Northside Emergency (Private). Both these facilities are located on Rode Road Chermside.
