Finding spare time can be difficult at the best of times. Here at Albany Clinic we are able to offer not only the time with Dr Manderson but also further tests if these are required for your medical. We try to make the whole process as easy as possible for you. When booking for the appointment please allow up to 1hour for the full medical to be performed.
To book an appointment phone the clinic on 07 3264 2622 and request an Aviation Medical with Dr Derek Manderson. When booking your appointment you will be asked to provide your ARN. At the time of your appointment please bring along your Photo ID as well as any glasses and spare glasses you may use.
Your appointment will consist of time with both Derek and one of our Nurses , either Elizabeth or Patti.
You will firstly spend time with the Nurse and have your initial tests performed. Some of the extra tests that you may require are:

(Please note that for any of the above mentioned tests there will be further fees applicable)
If you are required to have Blood tests performed we even have QML here on site to make the whole process easier for you.
If further eye tests with either an Opthalomogist or Optometrist is required then this referral can be organised with your DAME on the day of your appointment.
Prior to you appointment with Derek can you also organise to have copies of any reports from other GP’s and Specialists that may be relevant. Please also ensure that when payment is made on the CASA wepbage that you click “SUBMIT MEDICAL HISTORY” button.

Please also be aware that any further tests for either Pathology or Eye Examinations will not be covered by Medicare. These are all out of pocket expenses.
During this time and the increased enquires around the vaccines we are finding the incoming calls are increasing. We thank you all for your patience during this time. If you call the Clinic and find you are unable to get through or the lines appear busy we ask that you call back at a later time. Our reception team are working extremely hard to answer all calls as quickly as possible.
It is still vital that if you have any cold or flu symptoms that you must be tested.Upon having your test you must then self-isolate until you have a negative result or symptoms have cleared.Please ensure you advise reception if you have any symptoms prior to booking any appointments.
